HistoricJackpot is an independent travel and history guide focused on the Mandovi waterfront in Panaji, Goa. We research and write about the promenade's architecture, its administrative history, and the era in which the river became associated with moored gaming vessels, and we built a route-planning tool to help visitors walk that history at their own pace.

Our editorial approach
Where a historical detail is well documented and widely reported, we present it as fact. Where details are disputed, unverified, or likely to have changed since publication — access hours, specific walking times, the current status of a building — we say so directly and mark it for verification rather than presenting an estimate as certainty. We deliberately avoid naming specific current operators or vessels as settled fact, since licensing and operational arrangements on the waterfront have changed over time.
